Message from Movement For Justice:

‘On 10th September 2016 we return to Yarl’s Wood immigration detention
centre in force – join us in a movement that can bring an end to the
hated, rotten, racist system of detention! The demonstrations and
resistance inside Yarl’s Wood have been the most important fight in
Britain for women’s rights and for immigrants rights, because they have
been inspiring – because the people in this struggle are fighting to win
the most basic of demands as human beings.

The next National Demonstration at Yarl’s Wood is for ALL those held
like cattle in the UK’s detention system around the country. For ALL
looking to break out from under the shadow of detention. It is for ALL
those at the borders of Europe challenging the cynical leaders a
demanding in real life the promise of democracy and freedom, of which
sanctuary is fundamental.

The MFJ, and our friends and allies around the country organising for
justice and equality and fighting racism, we have been breaching the
walls and fences of detention centres, reaching inside with chants of
FREEDOM. Our detainees friends, partners in struggle, though locked up
have made their voices ring out.

PLEASE NOTE: IF we dont raise enough money through ticket sales and
Bristol specific donations we cannot go ahead and book a bristol coach

Prisoner letter writing, Friday 26th August

anarchist solidarity posterAs part of the Week of Solidarity with Anarchist prisoners, we will be having a letter writing night at our usual venue, Hydra Bookshop. Come along and learn about anarchists imprisoned in the UK and abroad, and sign a card in support of libertarian struggles. See you there!

Upcoming: International Week of Solidarity with Anarchist Prisoners!

poster

For the last two years, August 23-30 has been the Week of Action for Anarchist Prisoners. Many imprisoned anarchists will never be acknowledged as ‘political prisoners’ by formal human-rights organisations, because their sense of social justice is strictly limited to the capitalist laws which are designed to defend the State and prevent any real social change. At the same time, even within our individual communities, we know so little about the repression that exists in other countries, to say nothing of the names and cases involving many of our incarcerated comrades.

We chose August 23 as a starting point, because on that very day in 1927 the Italian-American anarchists Nicola Sacco and Bartolomeo Vanzetti were executed in prison. They were convicted of murdering two men during an armed robbery at a shoe factory in South Braintree, Massachusetts, United States. Their arrest was a part of a bigger anti-radical campaign led by the American government. The State’s evidence against the two was almost totally non-existent and many people still today believe that they were punished for their strong anarchist beliefs.

Therefore, we call on Anarchists and those fighting against the state to remember those inside by dedicating an action or an infonight to them, or simply by writing a letter.

Please send reports of your activities to tillallarefree (A) riseup.net

Hambach forest activist Huba in jail

After the court case of LAUtonomia activist Sara on the 22nd of march at Cottbus district court, our compa Huba got arrested. Sarah was released
and got arrested straight away again for something else, but we don’t have info on why and for what. Sarah was in jail for a month for not giving ID after getting caught shoplifting. When leaving the courtroom civil cops and the screws held Huba at the door and confronted him with a warrant for his arrest. The same day he was before a judge in
Cottbuss. He came as a spectator for the court case and left in handcuffs.

Right now he is in the JVA Wriezen and will be transported to Aachen this week. He is charged with violent assault that allegedly happened the 11th of November, in the cutting area of the Hambach forest.

We do not know how long it will take for Huba to arrive in Aachen. prisoner transport normally takes quite a long time. Huba will be transported from prison to prison where he will be put in one person
cells with no access to books, sports or other things that you would normally get when you are in jail. When arriving in Duren he will be
before another judge.

We do not know how this is going to develop, what we do know is that this tactic of accusing activists of violent assault is very common in the Rhineland region (Hambach forest). These confrontations with
security and police are not filmed and the activists get accused of all sorts of stuff, then need to prove their innocence whilst on remand in jail until the court case which can take months.

This shit is getting fucking old and also annoying. Our comrades get run over by jeeps and kidnapped, get their noses broken, get beaten up in the copshop, don’t get to see doctors, all of this from the side of freaking RWE, and their fucking rented army of dumb security douche-bags, backed up by the cops. These evil companies and people are protecting one of Europe’s biggest Co2 emitters (RWfuckingE) that are killing the freakin’ planet. And now they started to call us terrorists.

You can post letters to Huba to the WAA and when there will be a post address available they will send the letters to the prison. When there is more information about Sarah we will make this known. But for now:

Send letters, make actions, be creative, write a song, talk about this stuff, get involved in struggle or campaign.

Osman Evcan update

abcistanbul.blogspot.com.tr/2016/03/more-then-vegan-package-no-surrender.html

Osman Evcan who was born on 1959 in Samsun is an anarchist prisoner who spent his last 23 years in prison. İn 1992 he was sentenced to 30 years in prison with the charges of being a member of a leftist terrorist group and robbery. He was also imprisoned for 9 years between 1980-1989. Since Osman adopted anarchist ideas in 2003, he also became vegan and supports animal liberation struggles.

Osman Evcan was imprisoned in many different prisons all over the country during his conviction, he built his life fighting against authoritarian violence and especially the violence and oppression which is a systemic part of the prison’s hierarchical structure, and he still continues his fight against prison’s oppressive mentality, without giving an inch, aspiring to the right standards for anarchist, vegan, libertarian individuals.

Osman’s first barnburner act was his hunger strike in 2011 for vegan food to be available in prison which lasted 42 days. During his hunger strike the anarchists, animal liberationists from all over the World and in Turkey supported Osman’s fight to access vegan food in prison. After 42 days of hunger strike the government gave in and made regulations for the vegan and vegetarian prisoners: “Vegan or vegetarian prisoners demands will be accepted as long as its limited by subsistence allowance”. After this victory of all anarchists, animal liberationists and political prisoners, Osman continued to be in the anarchist struggle during his time in prison. He has supported the LGBT, Animal Liberation, women rights, anti imperialism struggles outside prison and he made hunger strikes to protest the animal massacre during each ‘feast of sacrifice’ every year for 3 days, he wrote articles to support nature, ethnic and different identities against government’s and comprador bourgeoisie’s raids and he still continues his political fight as much as he can from prison.

Osman Evcan was convicted of being a member of a leftist terrorist group, he self-criticized himself by saying that both capitalist and socialist system forms for being are statist and colonist formations. To quote his own words: “Veganism is not only a capitalism contrast it also includes socialism contrast. Veganism is civilization contrast. Veganism has an all out attitude against technological destruction, violence, human species alienation to nature and to itself, ecological pillage, pollution, colonialism, global warming. Act of civilization has a common history with statist forms of organizations. The idea of a state grown up process starting from primitive-simple history ongoing modernization continuum for thousands of years and transforming to nation state is a result of civilization. We cant separate This ongoing, mutually reinforcing facts that produce each other, from each other. Veganism is a radical attitude against all…”
After his hunger strike for 33 days on June 2015 he took vegan food supplies one step further and he gained the right to get vegan food from outside the prisons. The prison administration usurped this gain due to arbitrarily reasons.
After usurpation of the right to get vegan food from outside the prison by the Kandıra No: 1 Prison administration, Osman Evcan started hunger strike again on 10. November 2015 and after 39 days the prison administration gave him back his acquisitions. But soon afterwards, early in the morning Osman Evcan was exiled to Silivri L TYP prison by force and with the excuse of packness he was put in to a short stay unit which lacks a exercise yard. After he was brought to this prison by force no food was given to him for 4 days and afterwards the food given to him was not good enough for a healthy alimentation. Despite the fact that he wrote petitions tens of times, no answer was given.
Osman Evcan is jailed with ordinary prisoners. So it means that the rights that the political prisoners won through their struggles for years doesn’t exist in this prison. An example for this can be the cameras in the cells. Osman Evcan who mentions that he will never allow this kind of control and surveillance tool in his cell, tries to neutralize this practice by breaking or changing the route of the cameras. But the reaction of the prison administration to this act , is to enforce factual disciplinary punishments like visiting ban of the family members. Also as the result of disciplinary punishments he will have solitary confinement for 12 days.
In addition to these, this prisons amount of allowed books in a cell is limited only with 10 books. So if you consider the fact that in prisons it is not allowed to reach the fast information sources like internet, most of his books will consist of basic books. We can say that almost no opportunity to read something new is given to the prisoners.
Also the State is not only deciding the amount of the books you can read but also the State decides which book you are allowed to read. This is also a method to put the prisoners (the prisoners they imprison in order to regenerate and re-form) in the shape they want them to be. By making them watch the channels, read the books, magazines they want, they think they can get everything they want in the way they want, through prisoners head. Not to give the publications wanted is preclusion of the right to get free political information.
They are not giving any information to prisoners about their letters and faxes delivery status. This is paving the way for the prison authorities to not to send the letters arbitrarily. And also along with this communication ban, the obscurity situation becomes permanent and constant oppression is created. By keeping the body in a stable place, all the instruments needed to continue existing is disengaged.
With this hunger strike, Osman Evcan is showing the State that he is not obeying, surrendering, to their oppressions and practices in prison. Accepting means to destroy your own identity, your own existence. Only way to discharge political identities is to control behaviours. The outpicture of political identities are hunger strikes. And the state responds to this hunger strikes by keeping the body in a stable place and by disengaging all the instruments needed to continue existing. If The ones who must obey does not obey, the State reveals witch hunt politics visually. This is exactly what is desired to be done to Osman: silent extermination of psychology and body.
Osman’s fight is to not to let his identity to be destroyed, and to show that he will not surrender under the State’ s tools pressures. To lay down the body to death means not surrendering. It means to live without loosing your identity and to leave acquisitions to successors. Osman’s fight is more then a vegan package: it’s a war to exist.

Sean Swain: To Rebels, Insurrectionists, and Hacktivists Everywhere

A letter from anarchist prisoner Sean Swain.

I’m ten thousand miles in the mouth of a graveyard, but I’m still swinging with all that I’ve got. I gave the state an ultimatum: reinstate my communications or I’ll refuse blood pressure meds – which will lead to heart attack, stroke, or aneurysm. The state hasn’t budged and neither have I. I’m now out of meds and facing a spike in blood pressure. If I die I hope everyone reading this holds the same people responsible for my death as I do.

Odds aren’t so good that I’m going to live through this no matter how it stacks up. My website is in a state of transition, my access to the radio show is essentially cut off, and it feels like I’ve been obliterated beyond prison fences.

I dropped the federal civil rights action. Fuck the hierarch courts. I’m now relying entirely on the potential of rebels, insurrectionists, and hacktivists to develop methods of direct action to drive this common enemy to its knees.

State terrorists now have home addresses posted at blastblog.noblog.org. These are State agents and collaborators who have employed a program of torture and ideological targeting. So, just to be clear – this isn’t about me. I’m aware I’m not that important. In fact, by the time this is circulated, I may have already sputtered out. This is about a common enemy, those who serve the forces of non-freedom, and a real opportunity for those of us who envision a future that’s not under their control to send clear a message : Those who maintain the program and dig the mass grave will pay for what they’ve done.

And again, in my own situation, this does not begin and end with prison officials. In legal documents, prison officials made clear that they were taking their marching orders from the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The FBI. I don’t know what field office or what agents, but whoever they are, I think it’s important that they find out the rude way that they can be found too.

Just for the purpose of setting out what I think to be a healthy orientation, if the FBI can come after us, we can go after them. And we should. They have home addresses. They have personal vehicles.

Imagine what this can evolve into… disrupting their personal communications like cellphones… hacking into their personal systems…stealing their identities and destroying their credit… probing their government databases and melting them down… all while their cars burn…and their homes…and they tremble in fear in the Kroger parking lot when a stranger a stranger asks them for a light, because a coworker was knee-capped with a baseball bat when stopping for a dozen eggs and a loaf of bread on the way home from work…

We might make minor promises in exchange for meeting demands, but our ultimate demand is for a future without these fuckweasels running it.

And we attack, wherever we are, whatever our situation, until we get the world we deserve. We’re not going to vote them out or petition them out or protest them out or sue them out.

We know that if the means you employ do not require you to wear a ski mask or its electronic equivalent, your just not serious.

We’re serious.

If I’m already dead by the time this gets out, I want to express my deep gratitude to everyone who has extended my life in struggle, and to everyone who continues that struggle.

Gasoline is cheap. Matches are free.

We own the future. And it’s time to make them know it.

Stay dangerous,

Freedom,

Sean

Post Script from An Outside Rebel:

In order to place the above statement from Sean in some context, I would like to explain some of what’s been going on in Sean’s life in the last few months.

Sean has been off his blood pressure medication for about a month now. During his last med strike he hid his meds and secretly took them until he was moved to a special cell and placed under “medical observation.” In this new cell, he was watched at all times by pigs and medical staff via a surveillance camera pointed at the cell. At this point, he was actually, for real, was not taking his meds. During this time he experienced a blood pressure spike, which he says is “really uncomfortable, makes you want to crawl out of your own skin.”

While under medical observation, Sean made sign language messages to the camera in an attempt to communicate with those observing him. In response, his cell lights were turned off. Presumably, this was done to stop his ability to communicate, or crush his spirit or whatever. We don’t think like pigs so we can’t really tell you.

Sean then faked a heart attack. Those observing him did not respond in any way.

From this episode, Sean drew many conclusions. When observing the ODRC’s active medical negligence, for instance, one could easily draw the conclusion that they would prefer Sean dead.

A few months ago Sean attempted to send some rather incendiary messages through his Jpay account (the privatized prison email system) that related to the CEO of Jpay, Ryan Shapiro. He recieved a 60 day suspension of his Jpay usage. However, in practice this was a more universal shutdown and harassment of his communications. Many of his letters in and out were delayed by several weeks. He was and still is denied use of the telephone. Not only this, but it has been well beyond 60 days since his Jpay communications were suspended and they haven’t been reinstated. At the same time, he’s had two people who support him get upset at his tactics and stop talking to him. On top of all this his parents are aging and both experienced injuries during this time.

He’s expressed that he feels like the state is using him as a weapon against those that he loves. He seems very resolved about following through with this action.

If you have strong feelings about this situation, if you yourself are very resolved, now would be the time to act.

Mauricio Hernández Norambuena is one of the most significant
oppositors to the chilean military dictatorship first and, later, to the
“democratic” transition guided by the same dictator Pinochet (till his
death). Mauricio Hernández Norambuena today is suffering the 5038day
of an inhuman detention regime, that is to say 95.06 times what
Washington Olivetto, the victim of the offence for which Mauricio is
jailed, suffered during his kidnapping.

In 1976, during the dictatorship, Mauricio was a Communist Party
militant, while in 1983 he was one of the founders of the Manuel
Rodríguez Patriotic Front (FPMR), an organization borned as the military
organization of the Communist Party that later developed its own
authonomy to fight and defeat the dictatorship on the military plan.

Mauricio was condemned many times in Chile as intellectual and material
author of many actions developed by his own organization and he was
arrested in 1993. Freed from prison in 1996 thanks to an operation of
his organization, he was arrested in 2002 in Brasil for the kidnapping
of a company manager and he was condemned to 30 years of prison.

For almost 14 years, Mauricio Hernández Norambuena has beensuffering an inhuman prison regime that violates all the “Standard
Minimum Rules for the Treatment of Prisoners
”, adopted by the First
Congress of the United Nations about the Prevention of Crime and the
Treatment of Offenders
:

  • A cell 3×2 meters, bathroom included.
  • Two hours a day in a tightened courtyard.
  • Visits just of his brothers and systers, for 3 hours a month.
  • No access to newspapers, TV, radios, etc..
  • Just a book a week.
  • No contact with other prisoners.

The aim of this website it to make know his situation, denounce the
Human Rights violation promoted by the Brasilian Government
, speed up
the Brasilian Authorities to an humanitarian act by the repatriation of
Mauricio Hernández Norambuena to Chile, (the Chilean Government has
already presented an extradition request to the Brasilian Authorities).

The Brasilian Government in 2002 destroyed the lager of the Carandiru

and replaced it by many modern prisons where the physic torture is
replaced by the psicological torture. *Stop the Human Rights violations

Anarchist prisoner Osman Evcan resisted and won his fight again!

Anarchist prisoner Osman Evcan resisted and won his fight again!

Osman Evcan and Hasan Çınar gained the victory from the determined struggle which they put their lives against the state inside the thick walls of prison which they are enclosed. Osman and Hasan, got what they demanded through this hard period. Osman Evcan ended his indefinite hunger strike which took 39 days against intimidation and extermination politics against prisoners in prison and again he proved us that how he is right about his call to raise struggle.

We celebrate Osman Evcan who has proved that the thick walls that are built in order to revitalize the new “terrorist” wave that the Turkish state needed and the legitimize further operations cannot obstacle anarchists at all. The “punishment” system and their officials that made comrade Osman Evcan suffer hunger for 39 days and tortured him are our enemies. The recognized demands of Osman Evcan and Hasan Çınar are not matter of grace, instead that is the end of torturous practices. Torture is the state policy. We are grateful to everyone who have held demonstrations, spoken up, and support for Osman Evcan’s cause. Osman Evcan is now trying to get over the adverse effects of the hunger strike process, and his present health condition is fine. We will share the message from Osman Evcan and Hasan Çınar soon.

With anarchist solidarity,
